Recording: NYC versus Barcelona: How the Pandemic is Transforming Our Cities

Janes Walk

Led By Helena Ariza AND Rafael De Balanzo, Founder of Architectural Visits Agency

Did you miss this walk activity? A recording is available here!

This is a live walking tour held simultaneously in both NYC and Barcelona. During this walk activity, we’ll discuss how neighborhoods are currently facing the pandemic and transforming the “commons” such as “Open Street” and “Obrim Carrers” in Barcelona. Two Catalan architects based in NYC will hold a conversation with an artist collective based in Barcelona. We’ll explore the following questions. How have public spaces been transformed? Could this stay forever or is this just temporary? What are the local communities’ visions?
