Janes Walk

Led By Rosa Chang AND Nancy Kong Director of Community Engagement, Co-Founder and President / Gotham Park

Starting from City Hall Park, learn about Gotham Park, a new 3 stage park project beneath the Manhattan Anchorage of the Brooklyn Bridge. Stretching from City Hall to the East River in Lower Manhattan, a new 9 acre park will reinvigorate and reconnect diverse neighborhoods anchored by the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Join us to get a preview of a new Public Realm Project, outlined as a priority initiative by City Hall, that is opening it’s first stage in a few months. There are facts, history and adventure packed into a walk around the site that will be a surprise to lifelong New Yorkers.

The route includes stairs, and therefore is not accessibility-friendly. There are steps, uneven sidewalks, narrow walkways. People should wear comfortable shoes. Details: In person walking tour of 1.5 hrs.
