Radical Knowledge: A Library Walking Tour

Janes Walk

Led By Open House New York

This walk is created through the Urban Archive system. The walk will explore 5 libraries in downtown Brooklyn—showcasing the architectural history of both Brooklyn’s large central library and some surrounding smaller branches. The walk is a loop from Prospect Heights, Fort Greene, Downtown Brooklyn, Carroll Gardens and then Park Slope. This is an activity for people to enjoy in their own time.

Accessibility

The walk is around Park Slope, Prospect Heights, Fort Greene and Carroll Gardens. It is not too long of a walk if you choose to do it in person, but it is hilly. There are transit stops within two blocks of each stop on the walk. This walk also can be enjoyed virtually in your browser.
