Roosevelt Island South

Judith Berdy, President of the Roosevelt Island Historical Society, leads us on a walk along Roosevelt Island’s riverside promenade to the Southpoint Park, FDR Four Freedoms Park. Learn the history of the landmark Smallpox Hospital and the Strecker Laboratory, the former Penitentiary, and Goldwater Hospital. We’ll also see the new home of the Cornell Tech campus, including the Bloomberg Center and the Tata Innovation Center as we stroll along the island.
