SoHo Sixties and Seventies

Artists and architecture in the historic cast-iron neighborhood

With Matt Postal

Explore SoHo in the 1960s and 1970s, when “loft living” was born and leading American artists made “Hell’s 100 acres” home. Traces of a now mostly-forgotten era will be contemplated, from the arrival of such pioneers as Romare Bearden and George Maciunas to the designation of SoHo as an historic district and the creation of the DIA Art Foundation.
