[Virtual tour] One of the largest collections of contemporary outdoor sculpture, located in upstate New York near New Windsor, Storm King Art Center is a perfect destination to experience art in communication with nature, free from confining gallery walls. The collection was started by Ralph Ogden and opened to the public in 1960. Artists include Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi, Louise Nevelson, David Smith, Mark di Suvero, Richard Serra, as well as artists specifically focusing on nature in their practice, like Andy Goldsworthy and Maya Lin.
