The last remnant of the old Penn Station is at risk of demolition as are so many others on 31 Street if the proposed Empire Station Complex comes to pass. This and 10 other buildings in the line of fire are eligible from Landmark status. In the Jane Jacobs’ spirit, this tour will include actions step participants can take to help preserve these buildings before they are destroyed and replaced with super-tall towers no one needs or wants.
