Richard A. Benson, a Queens attorney with over 40 years experience, leads this largely indoor walk, which will access the interior of the 1876 Courthouse (the oldest in the County) and its magnificent ceremonial courtroom. He will describe some of its famous (and infamous) trials and cases therein conducted. We will also view the site of the Old Long Island City House of Detention, site of a 1970 prisoner riot.
