Upper Grand Concourse

With Alexandra Maruri

[In-person tour] On this tour with Bronx native Alexandra Maruri, we will visit the lesser-known northern stretch of the Bronx’s grand boulevard, the Grand Concourse. The Bronx has contributed greatly not just to New York, but to American culture at large, in entertainment, fashion, literature, education, medicine, and more. Learn about the part of town that was home to such names as Penny Marshall, Calvin Klein, Stanley Kubrick and Edgar Allen Poe. And as always, at the end, Alexandra can direct you to a good place for lunch.

In-person tours are limited to 25 attendees and are held outdoors.  Walking tours bring individuals into close proximity with each other, we therefore recommend that all tour goers wear masks during the tours, regardless of vaccination status.  Your tour guide and your fellow tour participants will thank you for your cooperation.  Should the tours happen to venture indoors, many places require masks and/or proof of vaccination, so please be prepared to have both with you.

MAS Walking Tours last approximately 2 hours. Meeting location is provided with registration.
