Williamsburg Literary Walk

Janes Walk

Led By Geoffrey Cobb, North Brooklyn History Association

Williamsburg is the home to a number of great writers. Walt Whitman was a journalist in the area. Novelists Betty Smith of a Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Henry Miller, author of Tropic of Cancer, Daniel Fuchs author of the Williamsburg Trilogy, and Esmerelda Santiago writer of When I was Puerto Rican all lived in the area. We will visit spots related to each of these writers.
