A Roving Penn Area Poetry Ramble

Janes Walk

Led By Brad Vogel, Empire Station Coalition

Do not go gentle into that good night! On this in-person nighttime meander through the site of threatened mass demolition and displacement around Penn Station (the Pennsylvania Station Civic and Land Use Improvement Project), come prepared to read a poem on the spot (we’ll provide copies) or just listen in as we explore and critique the Governor’s proposed plan through a number of poems centered on themed lenses, including preservation, rage, urbanism, calamity, resignation, beauty, loss, sacrilege, and hope.

Accessibility

This will be a night-time walk on city sidewalks of about a mile, all told.

Location Information

RSVP is required and capacity is limited. Meeting location, ending location, and directions will be provided via email before walk date.
