Art Galleries and Public Art Around 57th Street

This area in midtown has a long tradition of being a center of the New York art scene, with MoMA and the Guggenheim Museum starting out on Fifth Avenue and art dealers settling near by. Today there still is a wonderful variety of art galleries to explore: PACE has several spaces here, the Fuller Building has especially interesting photography dealers such as Marian Goodman. Lately even Lever House has restarted its exhibition programming and there so much public art throughout the area as well.
