Modern Living in the Metropolis

With Matt Postal

[Virtual tour] A unique and varied group of modern homes sprouted throughout the five boroughs in the mid-20th century. Architectural historian Matt Postal will consider some of the city’s most memorable examples, including some still-surprising interlopers in a succession of innovative styles, including row houses and free-standing dwellings designed by William Lescaze, Edward Durrell Stone, Joseph & Mary Merz, Paul Rudolph, and even Frank Lloyd Wright.

For all tours, there are no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges unless we cancel a tour. Online registration closes one hour prior to the tour start time.
