Congratulations to Crime + Punishment

Winner of the 2019 Brendan Gill Prize

September 30, 2019

On September 18 at the Ford Foundation Center for Social Justice, MAS welcomed a sold-out crowd to a special screening of Crime + Punishment, our 2019 Brendan Gill Prize-winning film. Director Stephen Maing and several of the officers whose stories inspired the film joined us and answered questions from the MAS audience.

On September 24, we had yet more reason to celebrate as Crime + Punishment took home the 2019 News & Documentary Emmy for Best Social Issue Documentary! Please join us in congratulating Stephen and giving thanks to the courageous officers who risked everything to expose racially discriminatory practices by the NYPD.

Watch below for the discussion with Stephen Maing and the officers following the screening earlier this month.
