Getting to Know Age-friendly East Harlem

Janes Walk

Led By Diane Kolack and Ahsia Badi, The New York Academy of Medicine

Welcome to East Harlem…or as we call it, El Barrio. The New York Academy of Medicine invites you to experience El Barrio and learn about the neighborhood’s age-friendly features. Join us as we visit key sites and discuss how this community worked to build on their assets and create a more age-friendly environment. We will showcase neighborhood cultural landmarks, local eateries, and programs that are part of NY City’s first Aging Improvement District.
